An update that matches comfort and a hint of sexy

They’re back. Pattered rayon pants! If you are old enough to have worn these the first time around you’ll remember them as those beauties from the 80s that gave us all an extra 10 pounds.

Here’s the upside! They are much more slick this time around and we have learned to style them much better. They are far less potato sack and much more butt attack.

An all-around slimmer cut, butt huggin’ back area and tapered or cropped ankle is all part of what makes this version much sexier. Pair it with a great heel or “lace up top” sandal and you have a brilliant pant that you can wear to the office with a blazer or switch up with a jean jacket or jean vest for a night out. I have already made the mistake of buying one pair too big. Try one size down then you would normally take for the best fit. Too big and they’ll look like pajama pants.

If you are vertically challenged, like moi, the best way to pull them off is with heels. I have shown them here with nude but Lisa, friend and interior designer extraordinaire, is sporting hers with a pop of aqua! Gorgeous!

Try a shorter top (nothing past your hip area), body hugging if it goes down past the waist or squarer and looser if it is a crop top and hangs above the pant waist (a truly 80s look for slimmer figures).

I am loving this version and although I haven’t ventured away from a black pattern yet, I am soon bound to and I will post these pics when I do.
